Humor is infectious. The sound of roaring laughter is far more contagious than any cough, sniffle, or sneeze. Research shows that laughter is a powerful antidote to stress, pain, and sickness. With so much power to heal and renew, the ability to laugh easily and frequently is a tremendous resource for healing. And when laughter is shared, it binds people together and increases happiness. Best of all, this priceless medicine will work as well for your guests as for the recipients!
This event is all about bringing smiles and laughter into the life of a patient – and your guests. Their challenge: create fun pails that showcase the positive traits and attributes of their team mates! Your donation will benefit a local hospital for children suffering with diabetes, MS, cancer and other childhood illnesses. Once we understand your presentation desires, we’ll present you with a couple of agencies to choose from.
To begin, we’ll divide the group into teams and give them color coded bandannas for spirit. Then, the discussion commences between teammates by brainstorming the strong suits and traits they think are worthy of being showcased on the fun pail that will inspire the kids receiving them. Once they’ve identified those traits, they’ll be given empty gift cans, stickers to create faces, colorful hair, and more. Their job is to turn that plain can into a unique and hilarious persona that encapsulates the positive traits of the team members.
After the creation period, each team will stuff their pail with gifts designed to bring a smile to a child. From humor books and small games, to lip moisturizer and funny toys, all items are designed to help make their day a little brighter.
We’ll award prizes for the teams displaying outstanding creativity and humor in developing their gift pails. But the true ‘awards’ are multiple, from the feel-good your associates receive knowing that their positive traits are recognized, to the reward that comes in donating those gifts to a child. A representative from the receiving agency will be on hand to share a little about their agency, and to ensure that the emotional connection is made with your group.
